Headquartered in Smithtown, the authority and duty of the SCSPCA extends throughout Suffolk County.  While many local humane societies do an  admirable job, only the SCSPCA has the ability to enforce the Agriculture & Markets Law.

Working in conjunction with other local law enforcement agencies and with the office of the District Attorney, the SPCA will bring abuse and neglect cases before the courts and prosecute violators to the full extent of the law.

Cooperation with the Town Animal Shelters in the County of Suffolk brings an even greater level of protection and service to animals in our county.
